Exciting times are on the horizon for the DLT4EU community. After nearly a year and a half of hard work, the three accelerator initiatives that will receive follow-on funding will be announced at the programme’s final (online) event. The occasion, that will take place on May 6th from 10:30 to 12:30 h (CET), also aims to discuss the role of innovation incentives and programmes on tech for good in addressing urgent challenges of the public and social sector.

A Jury of experts has selected the awarded solutions

A representative of the Evaluation Jury that has selected the best solutions will be in charge of revealing the three awarded teams. The Jury is composed of external subject matter experts from fields including Innovation in the Public and social Good Sector or DLT Development among others, and the election has been made following criteria such as the innovation of the proposal, its usability or its commercial capacity.

This unique recognition will provide to the awarded teams the opportunity to facilitate the real-world uptake of the solutions and to increase the visibility of the projects.

An exceptional live round table will soon be unveiled

But not only that: since this decisive moment represents the last official act of the DLT4EU programme, it will feature a Round Table to match. How do public bodies support and adopt early-stage innovations? Which are relevant use-cases and which social and environmental challenges can be solved? How can we encourage experimental solutions to become viable products? These and some other open questions will trigger this discussion that will focus on the lessons learned from different projects and initiatives supported by public bodies as the European Commission or the United Nations, and draw the map of the following actions that experts foresee for the upcoming years.

The participating speakers will be announced soon but we can already advance that they are some of the most relevant voices on the use of technology for the common good.

The end of our programme is almost here, but we can’t hide our enthusiasm to see the results of this journey. Stay tuned to know more!
