DLT4EU BCN Bootcamp: the last date before the accelerator programme comes to an end

The end of our accelerator programme is getting closer! In about two months, the eight Venture Teams of DLT4EU will have to submit their Proof-Of-Concepts to the Impact Investors and Experts that will select the winning projects.

Before the decisive moment arrives, however, it’s time for the third and last online Bootcamp, held from Barcelona by our consortium partner Ideas for Change

From Monday, the teams will be working together again to continue advancing in solving their challenges in the fields of circular economy and digital citizenship. On this occasion, they will do it for four non-consecutive days spread over two weeks. This will provide more time to absorb the knowledge imparted and gradually implement the concepts learned in the training sessions.

Refine the teams’ pitches for the Proof-Of-Concept

Due to its proximity to the end of the programme, the content of the Barcelona Bootcamp will focus on helping the Virtual Field Labs to develop and refine their pitch prior to the submission of the Proofs-of-Concepts.

To do so, on the first day of the Bootcamp the teams will have the opportunity to present their demo and a supporting explanation in front of a panel of experts that will provide them with advice and feedback.

During the following days, they will attend a series of Masterclasses and Mentoring Sessions on key topics such as storytelling, public funding, business models, technical refinement and product design in order to deep dive into the areas that can help improve their value proposal.

Finally, a Challenge Owners Demo Day will take place. During this session, the Venture Teams are expected to act on the feedback they have received from mentors throughout the Bootcamp and incorporate it into the pitch. The Venture Teams will pitch in front of the Challenge Owners, when they will identify areas of improvements for the final Proofs-of-Concepts submission.

A selected panel of mentors and experts

Once again, our teams will be accompanied by a professional panel of Mentors and Experts, who will provide guidance on key topic areas.

This will be our expert panel:

  • Investor Perspective: Baptiste Cota and David Chreng-Messembroug, founding partners of LeadBlock Partners.

  • Storytelling and Pitching: Hayley Bagnall, Marketing and Innovation Specialist at Altus Impact and Eva Pedrol, Director at LLYC Barcelona.

  • Business Models and Strategy: Theo Felgett, founder of Applied.

  • Product and Service Design: Luca Iadema, co-founder of Studio Up and Elmer Zinkhann, head of design at Digital Catapult.

  • Public Funding: Karel Vanderpoorten,  policy officer Social Economy in DG GROW, João Machado, Social Innovation Fund Manager at Portugal Social Innovation and João Farinha, advisor for the Secretary of State for the Digital Transition of the Portuguese Government.

We’re really looking forward to this last hands-on experience, which will be the last date before the accelerator draws to a close!
